This is a press release from easyJet in LFV’s unofficial translation
Beginning on October 27, easyJet will offer five departures a week to Stockholm-Arlanda Airport from Geneva International Airport.
On July 16 easyJet, Europe’s leading airline in the low fare segment, announced its expansion in the Swedish market. EasyJet previously announced that it will fly daily to Stockholm-Arlanda Airport from Milan Malpensa in Italy during autumn 2008.
“We are very pleased to be able to launch a second route that goes into service during October from Stockholm,” says John Kohlsaat, easyJet’s regional manager for northern Europe and Germany. “EasyJet offers a unique combination of low fares, care and comfort, and Geneva is an attractive destination for both business and leisure travellers.”
“For a long time, easyJet has been one of the most important airlines in Europe,” says Mats Sigurdson, Director Aviation Marketing at LFV, which operates the major Swedish airports. “Airline industry growth is occurring mainly among low fare airlines, of which easyJet is the best-reputed. The fact that easyJet is now launching a second route from Stockholm-Arlanda shows that it regards Stockholm as a destination for the future and believes that its service to Stockholm will grow.”
Geneva is the second largest city in Switzerland and is both a business and tourist destination. Geneva hosts the head offices of numerous international organisations, such as the European offices of the United Nations, the International Red Cross Committee and the World Health Organisation. The city can also offer first-class restaurants, shopping and proximity to the skiing resorts of the Alps.
Tickets to Geneva will be available starting at 29.99 euros for a single journey, including taxes and charges.
All easyJet departures can be booked at www.easyjet.com. Tickets to Geneve are available starting today, July 16.
