FlyNordic opening new route to Belgrade
[2008-04-03 14:48]

FlyNordic − continuing its expansion in the Balkans − is now unveiling a new route to Belgrade (Serbia). The service will premiere on June 16 and there will be two departures a week.
“Belgrade is a very attractive gateway to the Balkans and we believe that the region has great potential for growth, thanks to low prices. The city will also benefit enormously from being the site of the Eurovision Song Contest finals in late May. As you know, this generates a lot of interest here in Sweden,” says Krister Aarnio, CEO of FlyNordic.
Belgrade is regarded by many as one of the major cultural and economic centres in the Balkans. Meanwhile the city’s central location means short travel times to other parts of the region.
FlyNordic, which is changing its name to Norwegian later this week, will fly the new route on Mondays and Fridays. Flying time is two and a half hours. Aside from FlyNordic, JAT also offers air service to Belgrade.
