It will be more comfortable and fun to fly on Icelandair. The airline is switching to better seats on board with individual TV screens for all passengers.

Late in 2007 Icelandair began an extensive upgrade of all its aircraft. International design company AvioInteriors is supplying the seats, which are made using the latest technology. They weigh less, are more durable and offer more room and thus a more comfortable trip for passengers.

The new in-flight entertainment system is called the Thales IFE i4500. Each seat is equipped with its own TV screen and an extensive selection of programmes. Each passenger will be able to choose from a wide range of new films, TV programmes, music, books, e-magazines and games. In the future, downloading of music and other digital products such as computer games, and ordering of various goods and services at their destination may become a reality. At the same time, passengers will receive information about flights, airports, flight times and more.

Icelandair flies the Stockholm-Reykjavik route every day. From Iceland, there are good onward connections to the US and Canada, including Boston, Halifax, Minneapolis, New York, Orlando and Toronto.
