New security checkpoint in Terminal 5

A new security screening checkpoint has opened in Terminal 5. This adds three welcome security lanes to the previous eleven.
Stockholm-Arlanda Airport has now taken a further step to reduce the queues to the security screening checkpoints in its international Terminal 5. The location of the new checkpoint − right next to the SAS Fast Track − will hopefully also ease the flow around the SAS check-in counters.
“This is one element of Stockholm-Arlanda’s efforts to make things as easy as possible for passengers,” says Niclas Härenstam, Manager Press Relations, LFV Stockholm-Arlanda Airport.
Within two years, Stockholm-Arlanda will have further expanded its security screening checkpoints by ten new lanes. “Our ambition is that people should not have to spend more than five minutes in the security screening queue. Instead we of course want our passengers to have plenty of time to enjoy our selection of shops and restaurants,” Mr Härenstam says.
