SAS non-stop to northern Finland
[2008-05-27 18:48]
Scandinavian Airlines will begin flying between Stockholm and Kittilä, northern Finland. Kittilä is located in a region that has undergone unparalleled growth in recent years, attracting skiers from all over Europe.
Kittilä Airport is located at a convenient distance from the well-known Levi and Ylläs ski resorts, which offer numerous winter activities such as downhill and cross-country skiing, reindeer and dog sledge safaris and saunas followed by a cool winter swim.
“Kittilä is located in the middle of an exciting region in northern Finland that attracts skiers from throughout Europe. We will now try to provide non-stop air service from Stockholm, offering good connections from elsewhere in Europe and Sweden. SAS will thus become the first and only airline to fly non-stop to Kittilä from Stockholm,” says Tobias Jönsson, head of European services at SAS Sweden.
The flights will begin on December 19, departing from Stockholm-Arlanda twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
