Solresor adding extra flights during autumn break

[2008-09-25 18:18]

Many people in Sweden are now planning to flee to warmer latitudes during the autumn, and demand for such trips is at a record level. Tour operator Solresor is thus choosing to add two extra flights, one to Italy and one to Turkey.

Having just returned from their summer holidays, many people in Sweden are beginning to plan how to enjoy themselves during the autumn as well. The travel booking department at Solresor is working at full speed as people planning to celebrate the autumn break from school are booking trips like never before.

“Because most flights are fully booked and we are still noticing heavy demand, we are adding extra flights to two of our most popular destinations. There will be one aircraft flying to Sicily and one to Turkey. Both will depart on the Saturday when the break begins, which should make many people happy,” says Pauline Berndtsson, Communications Manager at Solresor.

Sicily, one of Solresor’s newer destinations, has been popular from the start. Many travellers have also visited Turkey, a best-selling destination, and extra flights were added this past summer. During the coming autumn season, prices are also lower, which attracts many people.
Altogether, Solresor is now offering more than 300 extra seats. Both departures will be from Stockholm-Arlanda on Saturday, October 25. The aircraft will fly to Palermo, Sicily and Antalya, Turkey, respectively.
